Messias Pedreiro Neto is a partner and director responsible for Debt Structuring at Thoreos Consultoria Ltda, a well-known independent advisory firm in Brazil.

Before joining Thoreos in October 2018, Messias was appointed Finance Vice President for LATAM at Contour Global and was responsible for managing the finance side of Contour’s operations in Brazil, Colombia and Peru, including rebuilding more than 60% of the team, financing and refinancing several Brazilian transactions, supporting the implementation of SOX in LATAM and preparing the local operation for the IPO that happened after he left the company.

Prior to joining Contour Global, Messias was Executive Director at Banco Santander (Brazil) where he led the Financial Sponsors Advisory team at Corporate and Investment Banking area and the Power Project Finance Area. During those 9 years at Banco Santander, Messias was able to size, develop and preserve 100% of the team under his responsibility and build and support the growth strategy for the Financial Sponsors and Power Project Finance areas, helping Banco Santander achieve a market leadership position in both as well as surpassing every yearly budget metrics.

Previously, Messias joined Itaú Group where he spent more than 7 years advising large corporate clients at the Corporate Banking division, building commercial relationships, and also achieving each budget goals.

Messias earn an MBA from London Business School in London and a bachelor’s degree in business from Fundação Getúlio Vargas in São Paulo.
